Who can apply for the Emfuleni Mayoral bursary 2027
You must be a South African citizen who lives in the Emfuleni municipal area. You must be a Grade 12 learner who starts first-year full-time undergraduate study in 2027. You must not receive any other bursary.

The field list comes from earlier cycles. It includes commerce, human and social sciences, law, and science and technology. It also includes technical skills, such as electrical, civil and chemical engineering, and other scarce skills.

In the 2026 cycle the bursary paid registration fees, tuition, books and a laptop. It also paid for accommodation and meals, depending on need. Preference went to local institutions, then to Potchefstroom, Mahikeng and Gauteng institutions.
