Service Manager - Klerksdorp Hospitals - Job Description

Introduction

Effective and efficient coordination and management of the internal support services and external service providers within the hospital environment to achieve Company objectives of quality, growth, and people. Services managed may include Catering, Cleaning, Security. Gardening, Hygiene, Pest Control, Medical and General Waste, laundry and Coffee Shops. Other tasks will be discussed on an Ad-hoc basis to include special projects, etc.

Responsibilities

Reviewing SLA and in consultation with Group Procurement, document specific hospital requirements and ensure signature by relevant parties.
Driving and monitoring conformance to SLA, identify gaps and implement corrective action.
Effective relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
Participating actively, where necessary, on internal and external review meetings.
Ensuring external stakeholders conform to agreed quality standards and drive conformance to relevant health and safety legislation as it relates to area of responsibility.
Identifying alert and incident trends and drive corrective actions.
Ensuring compliance to Lenmed's Quality Audit standards. ISO 9001:2008 (this is work in progress). Management of all maintenance work.
Management of water and electricity availability and responsible utilisation.
Management of all services related projects (Engineering, soft services, etc) Participating in budgeting process and monitor performance against budget.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of National Diploma at NQF level 6 in Electrical/ Mechanical engineering.
A facilities management and or business qualification will be an added advantage. SAP experience preferable.
Hospital engineering and services management experience. Minimum 3 years' experience managing large teams.
Knowledge and exposure in Industrial Relations.
Proven track record of minimum 3 years experience managing outsourced/insourced Soft Services, Integrated Facilities Management and Bundled soft services.
Experience in management of facilities in Hospitality, Retail, FMCG or related sector will be considered.
Preference will be given to EE candidates.
