Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling Resource Management Process Optimization Team leadership Compliance and Quality Assurance Reporting and analysing Production schedule adherence Soft Skills Required: Excellent leadership, decision-making and team-building abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Technical Skills Required: Proficiency in ERP/MRP system Strong knowledge of production scheduling and capacity planning familiarity with furniture manufacturing processes, including woodworking, upholstery and assembly expertise in LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies Behaviours: Sets ambitious goals and takes focused action to achieve desired outcomes to deliver measurable results Interprets and simplifies complex and contradictory information when resolving organisational problems Develops plans and prioritises initiatives that align to the organisational goals and objectives Thinks and plans strategically, focusing on the long-term goals and objectives of the organisation Leverages new technology to enhance productivity, improve problem solving, and support business growth Effectively influences others by gaining support and commitment in the delivery of organisational goals and objectives Assesses and improves the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of various work processes Takes accountability and ensures others are held to account on agreed upon performance targets identifies, nurtures, and supports the growth of individuals within the organisation
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years' experience in production planning with at least 3 years in a Senior managerial role within a furniture manufacturing or similar environment. Post graduate business qualification is desirable Experience within an Omni retail environment would be advantageous A history of achieving and delivering results within a fast-paced environment Experience in scenario and promotional planning Strong understanding of customer demographics In depth knowledge of planning process in Retail
