Group Financial Accountant & Control Manager - Job Description
Introduction
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant & Control Manager, to join the finance team at CCBA.
The role will report to the Group Financial Controller.
CCBA is the 8th largest Coca-Cola bottling partner in the world by revenue, and the largest on the continent. It accounts for over 40% of all Coca-Cola products sold in Africa by volume. With over 18 000 employees in Africa, CCBA services more than 735 000 customers with a host of international and local brands.
CCBA operates in 14 countries, including its six key markets of South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Mozambique and Namibia, as well as Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, the islands of Comoros and Mayotte, Eswatini, Lesotho, and Malawi.
The Group Financial Accountant & Control Manager’s responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting and Compliance Statutory Reporting and Audit Coordination Policy Management and Chart of Accounts Governance Group Balance Sheet Oversight Stakeholder Engagement
Responsibilities
Accurate Financial Reporting: Produce reliable, compliant, and timely financial reports, meeting both internal and statutory requirements Effective Statutory Compliance: Deliver comprehensive statutory reports and manage successful external audits without significant findings Robust Policy and Account Governance: Ensure consistent application of financial policies and effective management of the chart of accounts Balance Sheet Integrity: Maintain a well-managed Group balance sheet, free of discrepancies and aligned with financial objectives Enhanced Stakeholder Satisfaction: Improve reporting processes and foster strong relationships with internal teams and external auditors
Required Qualifications
Qualifications:
- CA (SA) / CIMA certification
Experience:
- 15+ years of relevant financial experience, particularly in managing policies and the chart of accounts
Skills:
Proficiency in 365 FI (or similar ERP system) and strong knowledge of statutory requirements Exceptional accounting, reporting, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple levels of the business Goal-oriented, able to prioritize tasks, manage complexity, and deliver quality outputs Effective team player with strong self-management practices, capable of fostering business partnerships and training finance staff
Ability to manage reporting and compliance across multiple countries, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
