Financial Co-Ordinator - Job Description

Introduction

This role involves supporting the finance team by managing financial documentation, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and handling commission statements. Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue receipts, bills, invoices, and statements to clients and vendors
•  Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in financial documentation 
• Process EFTs and broker commission payments to creditors
•  Manage invoicing for administrative, binder, and sundry fees 
• Review and balance commission statements for salary runs 
• Build and import commission statements into Commspace Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly debtors’ account reconciliations 
• Review and allocate daily bank transactions 
• Prepare and review credit and permanent life insurance premiums monthly
•  Assist in generating financial reports and resolving discrepancies 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and reporting 
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
• Address and resolve financial queries professionally and promptly

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (advantageous) Minimum 3 years’ experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment processing 
• Experience in the insurance sector (advantageous) Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Commspace, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical and organisational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Professional, proactive, and trustworthy Bilingual in Afrikaans and English (Essential)
