How to Apply

Applications go online only, at www.gautengonline.gov.za or professionaljobcentre.gpg.gov.za. Faxed and hand-delivered applications are not considered, and no payment is ever required to apply.

Use the new Z83 form (www.dpsa.gov.za/documents). Complete it fully, initial and sign it, and write Department of Health as the department where the post was advertised. Following DPSA Circular 19 of 2022 you do not send copies of qualifications at this stage. You send the Z83 and a recently updated CV only.

Set the CV out in chronological order, with institution, position and start and end dates (DD/MM/YYYY) for every job, so the panel can count your years of experience. The details on the Z83 must match the CV. Missing information leads to disqualification.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked for certified copies of qualifications and other documents on or before the interview. Foreign qualifications need a SAQA evaluation certificate. HR carries out personnel suitability and verification checks and may verify beyond what you list. The recommended candidate may be put through medical surveillance (OHS Act 5 of 1993), and the hospital may use practical exercises for non-SMS posts. If nobody has contacted you within three months of the closing date, your application was unsuccessful. The department may decide not to fill the post.

Questions about the post: Dr Mofokeng SM on 016 930 3000.
