Introduction
The Department of Employment and Labour is hiring a Senior Security Information Officer, reference HR4/26/06/12HO, based at Head Office in Pretoria. The post pays R413,001 per annum, with applications closing on 10 July 2026.

About the Company
This role focuses on the administrative backbone of personnel security — vetting administration, clearance certificate processing, and screening of service providers. You'll work closely with the State Security Agency (SSA) and manage sensitive administrative systems related to security clearances.
Responsibilities
As Senior Security Information Officer, you will:
• Conduct vetting administration
• Verify and capture forms on the SVIS (Security Vetting Information System)
• Administer safes and keys
• Consolidate clearance certificates or reports received from the SSA
• Administer the screening of all service providers
Required Qualifications
To qualify for this post, you'll need:
• An NQF Level 6 qualification recognised by SAQA in Security Management or Security Risk Management
• A valid driver's license
• 2 years' functional experience in Security Management/Information Services
• A Grade B PSIRA certificate
• Knowledge of the Minimum Information Security Standard, Departmental Policies and Procedures, Security Management, Minimum Security Standards, and the OHS Act
• Leadership, project management, decision-making, analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, computer literacy, presentation, innovative thinking, and communication skills
