Introduction
VKB Group's Reitz Head Office needs a sharp IT administrator to keep its servers, databases, and systems humming
About the Company
VKB Group is a fully integrated agribusiness spanning production, processing, and logistics, connecting local farmers with domestic and global markets
Responsibilities
• Set up and maintain Linux and Windows servers
• Administer SQL Server environments, including backups and restores
• Manage hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Keep an eye on daily reports, job queues, and system services
• Track down and resolve replication, backup, and server issues
• Monitor overall system performance
• Collaborate as part of a wider technical team responsible for IT platforms
Required Qualifications
• System administration experience, including user/role management and permissions
• Ability to coordinate system changes and software builds into production
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Experience across Windows and Linux platforms
• Working SQL scripting knowledge (DDL and DML)
• PowerShell scripting is a plus
• Prior VKB Group familiarity advantageous
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
