Introduction
The Department of Cooperative Governance (COGTA) is recruiting an Assistant Director: Revenue Management based in Pretoria. This Level 09 position offers an annual salary of R487,197 and is well suited to finance professionals with experience in municipal revenue and debt management.

Responsibilities
As Assistant Director: Revenue Management, you will:
• Develop and implement revenue enhancement initiatives to improve revenue collection in municipalities
• Coordinate reporting on the payment of government debt to municipalities
• Report on the credibility of credit controls, debt policies, and related municipal by-laws
• Coordinate and develop municipal debt collection strategies and financial recovery plans
Required Qualifications
• A 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance or an equivalent NQF Level 6/7 qualification recognised by SAQA
• 3–5 years' experience in a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, Outlook)
• Generic competencies: planning and organising, coordination, problem-solving and decision-making, project management, people management and empowerment, client orientation, team leadership, diversity management, and communication
• Technical competencies: comprehensive knowledge of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Treasury Regulations, the Division of Revenue Act (DoRA), the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), provincial and local government legislation, policy development, public-private partnerships, revenue and debt management, audit management, and poverty alleviation/job creation strategies
