How to apply
Apply online at bursaries.xhuma.io/mulilo. Upload all required documents before the closing date. Do not wait for the last day, because uploads can fail when many people apply at once.
Check these rules before you apply
The 2025 cycle also required that you were 35 or younger. It also required a combined family income of R180,000 or less. These rules were not confirmed for 2027. Read the 2027 advert on the portal and check whether they still apply.
Tips for a strong application
Scan your documents clearly before you log in, so your uploads go through fast.
- Certify your ID and other documents early.
- Apply a few days before the closing date, not on the last day.
- Keep proof that you submitted your application.
- Check your email and phone for replies, including your spam folder.
- Never pay anyone to apply for a bursary.
