Introduction
The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) is recruiting for two Artisan Production (Electrician) posts at Mangaung, reference FSNC 2026/07/05. Salaries range from R253,341 to R424,371 per annum, based on grade and experience. Applications close on 13 July 2026 at 15:45.

About the Company
This role centres on delivering electrical maintenance services at Mangaung, alongside training offenders and apprentices in the electrical trade. You'll be responsible for quality assessment of electrical work, maintaining building standards across the management area, and managing electrical maintenance projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
As Artisan Production (Electrician), you will:
• Train offenders and apprentices in the electrical trade
• Conduct quality assessments of electrical services delivered
• Maintain building works standards across the management area
• Manage electrical maintenance projects
• Perform electrical maintenance services across the facility
• Manage resources related to your trade
Required Qualifications
To qualify for this post, you'll need:
• An appropriate Trade Test Certificate underwritten by the Manpower Training Act (Red Seal)
• A valid driver's licence (not required for applicants with a disability)
• Technical analysis knowledge
• Competency in computer-aided technical applications
• Knowledge of legal compliance requirements
• Strong technical report writing skills
• Production and process knowledge
