Administration Clerk Supervisor - Job Description
Introduction
Naval Base Simon's Town is seeking an experienced HR administrator to manage complex personnel administration processes for both Defence Act and Public Service Act personnel.
About the Company
This role is based within HR Administration Support at Naval Base Simon's Town, part of the South African Navy.
Responsibilities
• Administer complex aspects of performance assessment for Defence Act Personnel (DAP) and Public Service Act Personnel (PSAP)
• Verify the administration of discipline offences on the mainframe system
• Administer grievances, including investigating their nature and drafting the unit's response
• Update education qualifications on the mainframe
Required Qualifications
• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a career or HR administration environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Leadership and management skills, plus command and control knowledge
• Problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Mathematical ability and self-discipline
• Sound reasoning, initiative, and decision-making skills
