Administration Clerk Supervisor – Inspectorate Naval Ordinance, Simon's Town - Job Description

Introduction

Fleet Command HQ's Inspectorate Naval Ordinance is looking for an organised Administration Clerk Supervisor to run its office support and registry functions in Simon's Town

About the Company

This role is based at Fleet Command HQ: Inspectorate Naval Ordinance (INO), part of the South African Navy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the office support function of the INO office
• Oversee the INO Administration Section and all aspects of the INO registry
• Administer all INO-related administrative functions
• Manage the SA Naval Ammunition Service Life Monitoring Database, including the restriction list
• Advise INO members on changes to related functions
• Perform divisional duties and administer the work attendance register

Required Qualifications

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an administrative environment
• Effective written and verbal communication in English at all levels
• Knowledge of general office administration and efficient office organisation
• Strong correspondence and MS Office Suite proficiency
• Excellent customer service ability
• Ability to introduce innovative approaches to optimise office administration
• Supervisory, planning, organising, and problem-solving skills
• Good telephone etiquette and typing skills

Job Benefits and Perks

• Salary of R338,106 – R398,277 per annum (Level 07)
• Based in Simon's Town
