Introduction
The Department of Cooperative Governance (COGTA) is recruiting a Deputy Director: Planning and Reporting to join its team in Pretoria. Responsibilities
As Deputy Director: Planning and Reporting, you will:
• Facilitate the development of the department's Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan
• Coordinate and facilitate the development of the departmental Annual Operational Plan
• Compile Quarterly Performance Reports
• Coordinate and facilitate the development of the department's Annual Report
• Compile strategic reports, including the Handover Report, Mid-Term Assessment Report, Strategic End-Term Report, and departmental MTDP Progress Reports
Required Qualifications
• A 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Development Studies, Public Administration, Public Management, or an equivalent NQF Level 6/7 qualification recognised by SAQA
• 3–5 years' experience in strategic planning and reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, Outlook)
• A valid driver's licence
• Generic competencies: planning and organising, coordination, problem-solving and decision-making, project management, people management and empowerment, client orientation, team leadership, diversity management, communication, interpersonal skills, and financial management
• Technical competencies: in-depth knowledge of legislation governing planning, monitoring and reporting, data collection and analysis, research methodology, strategic planning processes, Annual Operational Plans, audit and risk action plans, and Quarterly Review meeting processes
