Introduction

The Civilian Secretariat for Police Service (CSP) is looking for an Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join its team in Pretoria. This role offers an annual salary of R280,278 and is ideal for candidates with a background in data collection, analysis, and monitoring and evaluation who want to contribute to policing oversight and accountability.

Responsibilities

As Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, you will:
• Conduct oversight visits and collect data using Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) tools
• Collect source documents as evidence to support the data gathered
• Capture data into the relevant capturing system
• Conduct quality control and assurance on completed M&E tools
• Handle the control of documents within the directorate
• Provide access to source documents based on access rights, and maintain and update the source document file
• Provide administrative support to the directorate, including proper filing and archiving of documents
• Coordinate travel arrangements for the team
• Provide logistical and administrative support to the Monitoring and Evaluation Team

Required Qualifications

• A National Diploma (NQF Level 6, recognised by SAQA) or relevant qualification in Social Sciences, Developmental Studies, Population Studies, or Public Administration
• Experience in data collection and processing
• Data analysis and information management skills
• High computer literacy, particularly in the Microsoft Windows suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Understanding of the policing environment and/or monitoring and evaluation
• Strong planning, organising, and data collection/management skills
• Analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work under pressure, with sound problem analysis and decision-making skills
• A valid driver's licence
