ABOUT THE ROLE
This vacancy forms part of Department of Public Works and Infrastructure. It carries the reference number 2026/351, and the successful candidate will work from Bloemfontein Regional Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be expected to handle the following:
- Manage the Human Resource support services and the implementation of all the Human Resource policies, procedures and relevant prescripts.
- Manage the effective implementation of recruitment and selection policy and procedures.
- Manage the effective implementation of Performance Management Policy.
- Manage the coordination of Human Resource Development interventions and the implementation of Human Resource Development Policies and Programs.
- Manage the administration of service benefits and leave of staff in the province.
- Manage the implementation of sound labour relations and matters of mutual interest.
- Advise line managers and employees on all HRM related matters.
- Manage subordinates.
- Plan and allocate work accordingly.
REQUIREMENTS
The department lists the following minimum requirements:
- At least three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) / National Diploma in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Training and Development, Public Management, Public Administration, Management Services, Labour Relations or related.
- A relevant functional experience in the Human Resources Management at a Junior managerial level (Assistant Director equivalent).
- Valid driver's licence.
