The Department of Agriculture's Forensic Investigations directorate is re-advertising this post and welcomes previous applicants to reapply. This is an opportunity for a skilled investigator to manage cases from planning through to closure
About the Company
This role is based within the Directorate: Forensic Investigations at the Department of Agriculture in Pretoria
Responsibilities
• Plan assigned cases according to the Case Management Register, deliverables, and timelines
• Ensure case planning meets the Chief Directorate's quality standards, methodologies, and governing procedures
• Report progress weekly to the Assistant Director and monthly to the Deputy Director
• Carry out fieldwork and execution of assigned cases to the same quality standards
• Compile written reports on assigned cases in line with required standards and timelines
• Close out completed cases according to procedure, with regular progress reporting throughout
Required Qualifications
• Grade 12 Certificate
• National Diploma in Forensic Investigations, Law, or Auditing
• Minimum 2 years' experience in forensic investigations
• Knowledge of ACFE and ICFP professional standards, plus forensic investigation methodologies
• Strong writing, verbal, interviewing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Conflict management and interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel)
